Senior Vice President,
Roger currently serves as senior vice president and general manager of AES, responsible for the company’s strategic direction and financial growth as its chief executive. During his tenure, AES has transformed from a small, niche player in the patient recruitment space to a leader in accelerated, accountable enrollment solutions to Biopharma, offering customers greater enrollment certainty for their most important portfolio assets. Roger has more than 20 years of senior management experience in operations, marketing, product development, and technology.
Prior to joining AES in 2001, Roger held the positions of senior vice president, chief information officer for Kozmo.com; vice president, internet strategy and development at Petopia.com (PETCO); and vice president, programming at Sony Online Ventures, Inc.
Corporate Marketing & Strategy
With more than 20 years of marketing experience in the life sciences and technology sectors, Scott is responsible for company strategy, market intelligence, product management, creative services delivery, and the development and execution of all corporate marketing initiatives. He has previously held positions as director of marketing at Liquent, the leading provider of regulatory submission software and services for the biopharmaceutical industry (now a Parexel subsidiary); and a variety of marketing and web-based technology positions with SCT (now Ellucian), a developer of administrative software and outsourcing services to the higher education, local government, public utility, and process manufacturing industries.
Scott graduated summa cum laude from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University with a B.S. in Advertising and English.
Chief Operating Officer,
With over 25 years of operations experience primarily focused in the life science sectors, Peter leads AES operations, consumer marketing, patient enrollment, information technology, enterprise training and execution of all operational excellence and business transformation initiatives. Prior to joining AES, Peter held positions as managing director of Integrated Supply Chains LLC, a consulting firm specializing in biopharmaceutical value chain management; chief procurement officer & vice president at Patheon Inc.; vice president of operations at Biocryst Pharmaceuticals Inc.; and head of supply chain and information technology at EMD Serono Inc. His leadership positions with Deloitte Consulting LLP and PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLC and service as a Captain in the U.S. Army complement Peter’s significant operational experiences.
Peter holds a B.S. in Business Administration from The Citadel, and an MBA in Corporate Strategy and Operations from The University of Texas at Austin.
Jenelle brings over a decade of human resources experience to her role at AES. She most recently served as director for human resource services, global business centers and corporate functions for VWR International, honing her skills in developing business unit strategy prior to joining AES in 2018.
Previously, Jenelle held roles with Nobel Learning Communities and Zimmerman Industries, through which she gained extensive experience in global talent strategy and organizational design. Her background involves work in all facets of human resources, including employee development, recruitment, workforce planning, benefits, HR administration and business partnering for a variety of client groups.
Jenelle graduated from Kutztown University with a major in biology and earned a Master’s degree in Administration at West Chester University.
Patient Access & Intelligence
Jill leads the development of AES’s analytics, feasibility, patient research, and healthcare literacy capabilities. She was the author of AES’s original methodology to project patients and business revenue, and continues to manage the risks associated with our differentiated, performance-based business models. Previously, Jill was head analyst at Radian Guaranty.
Jill holds a B.A. in Mathematics and Computer Science from La Salle University.
Chief Medical Officer
As chief medical officer, Dawie’s vast of experience and high level of expertise has been the key driver in the development of our global presence since joining AES in 2016. Previously, he worked with Parexel International, a multinational life science company to establish a transparent operational governance process.
Dawie holds Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of the Free State in South Africa.
Head of Site Operations, Americas
With more than 20 years of operations experience and a track record of successfully integrating and optimizing clinical research units, Reinhold leads AES’s dedicated and integrated research site networks in the Americas. Prior to joining AES, Reinhold held senior leadership roles managing clinical pharmacology sites on a global level at PPD and Parexel, respectively.
Reinhold holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry and a Bachelor’s of Medical Sciences in Pharmacology from the University of the Free State in South Africa, and an MBA from the University of Phoenix.
Chief Financial Officer
With more than 20 years of financial leadership and industry experience, Maria leads AES’ financial management, and supports the company’s strategy, operational delivery and execution, and commercial pursuits. Prior to joining AES, Maria was the Executive Vice President of Corporate Development & Strategy at Bioclinica where she was responsible for the company’s growth through mergers and acquisitions and key business partnerships. She also served as the interim president of Bioclinica’s global site network business, which AES acquired in August 2019.
Maria has a degree in accounting from The Pennsylvania State University, and a certificate in human resources management from Villanova. A CPA in the state of Pennsylvania, Maria also currently serves on the board of directors of the Hershey Trust Company & Milton Hershey School, and the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania.
Head of Site Operations, EMEA
Riaan leads the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Site Operations team for AES. A medical doctor by training, he worked in the public and private health sectors in both South Africa and the United Kingdom before joining the pharmaceutical industry in 2007. He has held various positions of leadership in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries before joining AES in 2016.
Riaan holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) degree from the University of Pretoria in South Africa, a Diploma in Obstetrics from the College of Medicine South Africa, and a Masters of Business Leadership from the University of South Africa.
