Richard Harris

Richard leads the AES financial organization as chief financial officer. He joined AES, a PPD business, by way of PPD, where he started in 2004 as an analyst in global clinical development (GCD) operations finance, and where he has progressively grown and developed his role over the years. Richard most recently led the procurement, real estate & facilities group including health & safety, and the global finance shared service centers, and served as co-head of the GCD operations finance group since 2016. He was promoted to vice president in 2018 in recognition of his many contributions, including overseeing and improving financial controls and processes in operations finance. He has played an instrumental role in leading critical projects including Mosaic, global billing and numerous other initiatives.

Previously, Richard established and led the strategic finance team and served as business partner to the chief commercial officer for five years.
